Dr. Di Loreto has PhD of civil engineering and urban planning from University of Rome (La Sapienza). He was former head of department at the presidency council of ministers (territorial economy) in Italy. He also awarded the honors of knight and commander of the republic of Italy.
On 1980 general manager of the project related to transformation of the Gioia Tauro port in Italy from industrial to commercial; Member of the National Institute of Urban Planning since 1984; Vice-president of the sec. Lazio 1986-92; Since 1993 Manager in the organic roles of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in service at the Department for Economic Affairs; Since 1995 "Coordinator of the Public Investments and New Instrumentation Service" of the Department for Economic Affairs; From 30 October 2003 Director in the roles of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Head of the Office for Spatial Development and Employment); From 11 April 2008 to 31 December 2012 Head of the Department for the Development of Territorial Economies; General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers; From 1987 to 1992, at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Department Mezzogiorno deals with the Economic Analysis (Cost-Benefit Analysis) of public investments in the South (pursuant to Law 1/3/86, n.64); Member of the Commission for the examination of Reindustrialisation Programs in crisis areas pursuant to Law 236/93; Member of the coordination committee pursuant to the Program Agreement 28/6/94 for the implementation of a specific energy mining development plan for SulcisIglesiente; Member of the Commission to elaborate the "Strategic Environment Project" in implementation of the Triennial Program for the South (D.M. 27/12/88); Member of the Building Commission of the Municipality of Rome from 1991 to 1994, appointment of the City Council; From 1994-96 coordinator of the tourist transport commission in Rome, established by Ordinance by the Mayor; Consultant of the Mayor of Rome for the accessibility and safeguard projects of the Historic Center of the capital; Coordinator of a joint commission set up by the Municipality of Rome for tourist transport in the city; Consultant of the Superintendent of Cultural Heritage of the municipality of Rome for the arrangement of the central archaeological area "ForiImperiali, Colosseum, Circus Maximus BoccadellaVerità" and on 1993-96 professional private restoration of the medieval castle of Roccascalegna, ch, Italy. Dr. Di Loreto published various articles and books about urbans, arts, and land economy.
